DES3: Information Architecture

The structural design of shared information environments; the art and science of organizing and labelling websites, intranets, online communities and software to support usability and findability; and an emerging community of practice focused on bringing principles of design and architecture to the digital landscape.

  • Understand all stakeholders and how they look for information
  • Understand established information architecture methodologies
  • Understand the importance of information architecture in the context of implementation
  • Evaluate and apply labeling techniques
  • Identify the appropriate language to use
